They instilled the legacy of PV and what it really meant to be a Prairie View nurse.” Similarly, Dr. Pamela Cormier emphasized the influence of faculty role models, stating, “They personified strength, excellence, and a wealth of knowledge that provided a clear vision as to why I wanted to be a nurse and the nurse I aspired to be.” These foundational experiences shaped not only their clinical competence but also their identity as professional nurses and future educators.
