Dr. Bernadine Duncan

Dr. Bernadine Duncan is the Director of Student Counseling Services and The Women’s Center at Prairie View A&M University, where she provides comprehensive mental health services to students and serves as an adjunct graduate professor in the Educational Leadership and Counseling Department. She is the creator of the C.L.I.M.B. learning community model for master’s and doctoral students and has published scholarly work on leadership development and graduate learning communities at HBCUs. Dr. Duncan is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and LPC Supervisor. She is President Emeritus of the Texas University College Counseling Center Directors Association and currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the Research Association of Minority Professors. Dr. Duncan has secured more than $3.5 million in grant funding, including support for the establishment of PVAMU’s Women’s Center, the accreditation of Student Counseling Services, and the NFL‑funded POWER Up! initiative promoting respect and healthy relationships among male student‑athletes.
Dr. Reginald Jefferson

Dr. Reginald Jefferson is Assistant Director of Student Counseling Services and an Adjunct Professor at Prairie View A&M University with over 20 years of experience across clinical, academic, and correctional settings. A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor‑Supervisor, provides leadership in wellness programming, clinical supervision, and student mental health services using evidence‑based and client‑centered approaches. Dr. Jefferson has held faculty appointments at St. Mary’s University and the University of Phoenix and previously served as Mental Health Department Head at the IAH Secure Adult Detention Facility. He holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision and multiple graduate degrees, with scholarly research focused on innovative interventions for anxiety and depression. Dr. Jefferson is dedicated to clinical excellence, counselor education, and student development.
Mr. Will Harris Jr.

Mr. Will Harris is a Professional Counselor with Student Counseling Services at Prairie View A&M University, where he supports student well‑being, resilience, and personal growth. A U.S. Army veteran with over 20 years of honorable service, he brings strong leadership, discipline, and compassion to his clinical work. Mr. Harris utilizes a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Play Therapy, Sand Tray, and substance abuse counseling. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology, master’s degrees in Homeland Security and Clinical

Mental Health Counseling and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.). His professional interests include men’s mental health, resilience building, and purpose‑centered living.

Dr. Terri Adeshola

Dr. Terri L. Adeshola is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with extensive experience working with adults facing depression, anxiety, family and relationship concerns, life transitions, spiritual challenges, and other behavioral health issues. She also brings significant expertise in crisis intervention and stabilization.

Dr. Adeshola utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach, with a primary focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution‑Focused interventions when appropriate. She also integrates spiritual principles when providing Christian counseling. Dr. Adeshola is passionate about helping individuals reach their fullest potential emotionally, mentally, and physically, and supporting clients as they work toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Ms. Destiny Anderson

Ms. Destiny Anderson is a Professional Counselor II with Student Counseling Services. She enjoys working with students as they navigate academic stress, personal challenges, and important life transitions.

Before becoming a counselor, Ms. Anderson worked in performing arts, media production and later transitioned into Higher Education, holding roles in Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Enrollment Management, Adjunct Professor and Student Support Programs. She also helped create and lead a program for students who took a break from college and returned to finish their degrees, an experience that deepened her understanding of the obstacles many students face along their academic journey.

Ms. Anderson brings a real-world perspective into the counseling space, meeting students where they are with care, honesty, and respect. Her approach is supportive and culturally aware, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy, and other strategies tailored to each student’s unique needs. She is committed to creating a safe, encouraging space where students feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Ms. Kimberlee Wells

Kim Wells is a proud member of the PVAMU community with a strong passion for giving back through advocacy, prevention education, and campus collaboration. She serves as a Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Program Manager, where she leads impactful initiatives that raise awareness, foster meaningful dialogue, and promote a culture of accountability and respect across campus.

With a background in wraparound services and student support, Kim is dedicated to connecting individuals to resources, strengthening partnerships, and creating programs that center prevention, healing, and empowerment. She is known for her ability to engage students through interactive events, outreach efforts, and strategic collaborations that amplify student voice and community care.

Kim remains committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowered campus environment by ensuring comprehensive support for individuals impacted by sexual and relationship violence, while continuing to inspire others through her leadership and the message: Just Keep Showing Up.

Ms. Tara Hubbard

Ms. Tara Hubbard is the Administrative Associate III for Student Counseling Services, where she manages the department’s front office and provides essential administrative support to staff and students.

Ms. Hubbard attended Southern Ohio College, where she studied Microcomputer Operations before beginning her professional career in the hospitality industry. She transitioned into higher education in 1999, joining Prairie View A&M University as a Catering Supervisor with Sodexo Services. Over the years, she has served in several departments across the university before transitioning to Student Counseling Services. With more than 15 years of experience in administrative services at Prairie View A&M University, Ms. Hubbard brings institutional knowledge and commitment to student support.
