Faculty Advisory Council Input & Presentation Request Process
The Faculty Advisory Council (FAC) welcomes faculty input throughout the year. As part of its commitment to open communication and effective shared governance, the FAC leadership has established a process to collect and review faculty input in a timely and transparent manner. Faculty may submit questions, comments, concerns, suggestions, or requests to present information at an FAC meeting.
Submissions may be made with or without identifying information. Information received through this process helps the FAC identify issues of shared concern, inform agenda planning, and ensure that faculty perspectives are represented in governance discussions.
Review and Scheduling Process
Submissions are reviewed by the FAC leadership on a rolling basis and are discussed as part of the FAC’s biweekly agenda-setting process. Items may be:
- Placed on an upcoming FAC agenda,
- Referred to a FAC committee or working group for further review,
- Referred to Ombudsperson Aundrea Cudjoe-Jackson, J.D., when the matter may benefit from ombuds support, or
- Held for a future meeting if additional information, coordination, or time is needed.
Faculty and administrators requesting time to present should use this form to briefly describe the purpose and context of the proposed presentation. When contact information is provided, requestors will be contacted regarding scheduling, time allotment, and any needed materials. Note: Submission of a form does not guarantee immediate agenda placement.
We encourage faculty to use this form whenever an issue arises—not only in advance of scheduled meetings. Shared governance is strongest when communication is continuous, transparent, and representative of the faculty's collective voice.
If you have questions about the FAC or the submission process, please feel free to contact FAC leadership.
Thank you for your continued engagement and commitment to shared governance at Prairie View A&M University.
