Dave Clark

Dave Clark comes from us as a Senior Consultant with the Texas Organization of Rural & Community Hospitals after 43 years of healthcare experience in Texas. He works with at-risk hospital and clinic services who are in jeopardy of closure due to financial failure.  Dave served 25 years on the executive senior management teams of the Panhandle’s two large tertiary acute care healthcare systems in Amarillo, Texas. Dave had his own private healthcare consulting firm for over 18 years consulting hospitals, physician practices, hyperbaric wound care, maternal-child services, medical office building construction, hospice, and home health until his supposed retirement in 2016.

Dave has served in many community and state civic leadership positions from trauma, emergency services to maternal-child. Professionally, Dave developed a comprehensive regional healthcare system of specialty clinics, minor emergency care and senior health clinics, rural health clinics, tele-radiology services, rural specialty clinics and hospitals. He was instrumental in the development of the nation’s first model rural EMS System, helicopter and ambulance systems in the Texas Panhandle while establishing the region’s only neonatal intensive care and transport system serving three states.

He has authored several papers in the areas of Adult and Neonatal Ventilator Management, Back and Spine Outcome Studies and the Regionalization of Rural Healthcare Systems. He has been awarded several distinguished awards by the Governor of Texas in outstanding volunteer service for community, civic and rural healthcare services.

He is a graduate of Ottawa University with a degree in Healthcare Administration. Dave has been married to Kim for 43 years with two grown sons.
