What: Cybersecurity present and future: Is there a need for a science of Cybersecurity?
Who: Professor Mohamed F. Chouikha received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder. In 1988, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Howard University, where he served as its Chair. He was the Director of the IC-Center of Academic Excellence, the founding Director of the Center of Applied High Performance Computing and one of the founding Co-Directors of the Washington Academy of Biomedical Engineering. Chouikha’s research interests include Hardware Cybersecurity, Statistical Machine Learning, Signal Processing and Automatic Test Pattern Generation, and Verification of Complex Digital Systems. Chouikha has been actively involved in undergraduate and graduate trainings for more than 30 years. In addition, Professor Chouikha has been working on enhancing the recruitment and retention of underrepresented minority students in engineering.
