The Panther Call Center

The Panther Call Center (PCC) is the reestablished switchboard operations on the Prairie View A&M University main campus. The PCC provides general information and directory assistance, in a positive, appropriate, and timely manner, for internal and external calls.

The Panther Call Center hours of operation are Monday-Friday (8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.).

The Panther Call Center provides campus wide emergency information. The Panther Call Center is notified and updated regularly during times of emergency.

The Panther Call Center provides general information to include email addresses, phone numbers and updated information about campus events and activities.

The Panther Call Center does not have access to student’s official academic records. The PCC ONLY provides general “directory” information.

The Panther Call Center is located in the Willie A. Tempton Memorial Student Center, Suite 300.

The PCC is not an answering service; however, if a department is offline for a few hours or hosting a departmental conference/ event off campus, the “main office line” can be transferred to the Panther Call Center. Please call 936-261-2890 to discuss the protocol.

The Panther Call Center does not provide personal call handling or answering services for faculty and staff. When calls are transferred, please refrain from asking the attendant the following questions: Who’s calling? Would you please take a message?
