Development Activities

Here at Prairie View A&M University, we take pride in our panthers’ academic success in their field of study. We offer courses that encourage our students to have a well-rounded degree plan that includes hands-on experience. Whether in the food lab, meat lab, or on the farm, students will engage in different skill sets that best suit their career path.

Students will journey through their studies of animals, food and soil sciences, environmental resources, and business practices to immerse themselves in the world of agriculture. Students who major in Human Nutrition and Foods will acquire the skill sets for careers in dietetics, nutrition, or health professions in graduate and professional studies. Professors are always available to students because their success is our success. Lal Almas, Ph.D., currently serves as Associate Dean for Academic Programs
