The Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) has named alumna Dr. Julie Guillory (’99) as one of the recipients of the 2020 TASBO Rise Award. The Rise Award is a recognition award for members who have participated in TASBO for 10-years or less and are becoming recognized leaders both at their district and in TASBO.
Dr. Julie Guillory has served in education for nearly 34 years. She joined Fort Bend ISD in 2016 and serves as the Director of Student Attendance & PEIMS (State Reporting). TASBO honored Dr. Guillory on March 5, during the 2020 TASBO Awards Luncheon at the 2020 TASBO Annual Conference hosted by the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Guillory is a past recipient of the 2004 Prairie View A&M University Educational Hall of Fame Leadership Award for outstanding contributions to the field of education by a Prairie View A&M graduate. She has been a science teacher and large, 5A high school principal, director and executive director. Her philosophy is “once a teacher, always a teacher,” as she is often sought out for consultation on non-instructional data quality.
