PVAMU Women's Golf 2026

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Apr. 16, 2026) – Prairie View A&M women’s golf captured its first Southwestern Athletic Conference championship in program history, finishing 76-over-par after three rounds to secure the title in Birmingham, Alabama. The Lady Panthers led from the opening round of the April 13-15 event and closed out the tournament with another steady day on the par-72 course.

Kacey Menyoli led Prairie View A&M with a 16-over total, finishing tied for first individually after holding the top spot following the opening round and again on the final day. Her performance added another notable achievement after she was named to the All-SWAC second team before the championship.

Prairie View A&M took control early with a 29-over team score in the opening round and maintained its lead with another 29-over in Round 2. The Lady Panthers closed with their best round, 18-over, to secure the title and complete a wire-to-wire victory.

The Lady Panthers placed four golfers near the top of the individual standings. Nevaeh FigueroaMicaiah Joubert and Fernanda Rendon each finished tied for fifth at 20-over, giving Prairie View A&M valuable depth across the lineup. Rendon also delivered one of the key individual rounds of the tournament when she led the player leaderboard in Round 2 at 4-over. Madison Williams added a tie for 16th with a 36-over total.

Head Coach Kortland Ware was named SWAC Women’s Golf Coach of the Year in his first season leading the program.

Prairie View A&M never relinquished the lead, with multiple Lady Panthers finishing near the top of the leaderboard. It was the kind of complete team performance needed to win a three-round conference event.

With the conference title secured, the Lady Panthers now turn their attention to the NCAA Regionals, scheduled for May 11–13, as they await their placement in the field.

Full live scores are available online, and the final round can be watched on SWAC TV.
