As the highest student leadership position for men, Mr. Prairie View serves as an ambassador for the university promoting campus leadership, community services, and school pride. Alexander Levar Kirk
Alexander Levar Kirk is a dedicated fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student from Pontiac, Michigan, who has made a significant impact at Prairie View A&M University. Over his academic career, Alexander has consistently demonstrated his commitment to excellence and leadership, striving to set a high standard for the student body.
Alexander’s involvement on campus has been extensive and impactful. He has actively participated in and held leadership roles in various organizations, including Men Achieving Leadership and Excellence, the Student Government Association, Panther Advisory Leaders, The Michigan Club, and the Campus Vote Project: Democracy Fellows. His leadership roles as Mister Freshman (2021-2022) and Mister Sophomore (2022-2023) further highlight his dedication to representing and serving his peers. Alexander’s academic achievements include multiple appearances on the Dean’s List and recognition as a Transforming Leaders Fellowship Scholar.
In Spring 2023, Alexander became an initiate of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., reinforcing his commitment to community service. He embodies the principle of leadership through service and lives by the quote, “A great man does not seek to lead, he is called to it, and he answers.” As the elected male leader of his campus, Alexander is focused on his platform, The Triple Initiative. This platform emphasizes enhancing student leadership and professional development, highlighting the importance of all campus organizations, and empowering male mentorship.
Alexander plans to further his education by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering followed by a Doctorate. Through his leadership and service, Alexander aims to set a lasting standard for the Prairie View community and ensure a productive and inclusive environment for future Panthers.
