In 1965, a program of the Manpower Development Training Act was established by the School of Industrial Education and Technology. A class in Typing and office procedure was offered by Mrs. Jean McDonald, a professional business woman. Twenty-four young ladies, all high school graduates, were enrolled in the first course offered.
