Principal/President – Dr. Willette Rutherford Banks

The Woolfolk first library was built during the tenure of Dr. Willette Rutherford Banks. Banks was appointed the 7th Principal of Prairie View Normal and Industrial College in 1926. The library contained more than 20,000 volumes of books that usually had to be physically moved. Summer school students, house wives, children, faculty members, 4-H boys and girls, regular session students, young, middle age and old, including Principal W.R. Banks would help with the tremendous task of moving books.
