John B. Coleman Library is a Congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government Documents. Public access to the government documents collections is guaranteed by public law.

    The John B. Coleman Library serves as a partial Federal Document Depository and holds close to 2,500 government documents, with electronic access to many titles.

http://www.politifact.com/ - Pulitzer Prize-winning website “examine[s] statements by members of Congress, state legislators, governors, mayors, the president, cabinet secretaries, lobbyists, people who testify before Congress and anyone else who speaks up in American politics.”

http://votesmart.org/ -  “ Votesmart is a non-partisan, nonprofit educational organization funded exclusively through individual contributions and philanthropic foundations.” It contains information on public statements, special interest groups, legislative committees, as well as contact information about dozens of political parties.
