Professional Experience

With over 200,000 students and 2,500 staff Dr. Locke Simmons served 24 years of urban and suburban garnering her leadership experience, Dr. Locke Simmons has served in a variety of roles focusing on educational disproportionalities, leadership development, and instruction. She has managed over $150M in educational budgets. Student advocate, servant leader, community organizer, and education reformer in the roles of a public, schoolteacher, assistant principal, associate principal, principal, executive principal, curriculum director, accountability director, school support officer, executive director – chief of schools, and adjunct professor at The Whitlowe R. Green College of Education at Prairie View A & M University. She is versatile and knowledgeable in leading and providing strategic oversight of a wide range of functions at all academic levels including, but not limited to Principal Management, Budget Development, Special Education, Multilingual Education, Virtual Learning, Intervention Programming, and Gifted and talented Populations with demonstrated swift, exceptional results for all student types with sustained outcomes and repeated success in turnaround and traditional opportunities at scale.
