Dr. Camille Gibson and colleagues were awarded a grant from the Hogg Foundation to evaluate the significant role that faith plays in the lives of African Americans. The goals of this initiative are to expand African American faith-based programs and ministries in Texas to include mental health. Dr. Gibson, an associate professor of Justice Studies, will lead an evaluation team to assess the goals of this initiative. The research team includes Drs. Aisha Asby, Tamara Brown, Pamela Martin, and Derek Wilson.
