On Sunday, October 30, seven members of the PVAMU Livestock Club travelled to Bastrop, TX to assist with the American Dairy Goat Association’s judges training conference. The students were able to learn about the points of dairy goat conformation and how to select the best show animals, as well as how to prepare and present clear, professional sounding reasons for how the classes of goats were placed by the professional panels. The assistance was very much appreciated by the Training Conference committee, and there were many positive comments made about the students’ composure and willingness to help after a long day at the conference.
