Dr. Fred Bonner II has been selected to present an international lecture in Australia. In June, he will travel abroad to present about Building on Resilience: Models and Frameworks of Education Success for Diverse Australian and U.S. Students. This presentation and was created to increase research literacy that focuses on successes of African American students in the United States and is framed after his book Building on Resilience: Models and Frameworks of U.S. Black Male Success across the P-20 Pipeline.

Bonner’s session will also engage critical dialogue on the impact of disadvantage, racism and underrepresentation in comparative and international contexts—specifically the experiences of diverse populations in Australia and the United States. Several key strategies offered during the presentation will assist administrators, teachers, school board members and graduate students who desire to promote the academically gifted African American male population.

The lecture will be held from 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. June 13th, 2017 in Room 119 of the John Goodsell Building, University of New South Wales Kensington Campus. If interested in attending please click this link to register: https://education.arts.unsw.edu.au/events/free-public-lecture-dr-fred-bonner/
