Hunter James Carl Waldon is a senior majoring in Accounting from Houston, Texas. While attending Prairie View, Hunter has been a representation of The Prairie View Man and a distinguished individual.

He has proudly served and has been engaged in organizations and leadership positions such as Brothers Leading and Cultivating Knowledge, Men Achieving Leadership and Excellence, Panther Advisory Leaders, National Association of Black Accountants, Thee Agency Media, Mister Freshman 2020-2021, and Mister Sophomore 2021-2022. He has been recognized on the Honor Roll and Dean’s Honors List since the Fall of 2020. After graduation, Hunter plans to obtain his Master of Business Administration to become a Certified Public Accountant and work his way to partner status at Deloitte & Touché LLC.

Hunter takes pride not only in his university but also in servicing his community and others around him as a Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Hunter stands by the quote, “The test of a man is the fight that he makes, the grit that he daily shows, the way he stands upon his feet and takes life’s numerous bumps and blows” He will implement his platform The ALI Foundation, which includes staying true to the pillars of Awareness, Leadership, and Inclusion while laying a new foundation of culture and tradition. The focus of his platform is on magnifying the deep tradition and culture that runs through our university while finding innovative ways to increase retention rates and provide an experience that proves that excellence lives on the campus of Prairie View A&M University.
