Prairie View A&M University; School of Architecture-AIAS (American Institute of Architecture Students) chapter held a LEGO competition. The competition was a way to bring a fun environment into the school. Students spend long nights and days in the Nathelyne Archie-Kennedy building and sometimes its good to bring in a healthy competition event to keep the students’ spirits up. Architecture is not only about building structures and working on a computer screen, it’s about design, creativity, passion and drive. The School of Architecture wanted to try something new with design by bringing back the nostalgic toys of the past, LEGO®.

This competition was only an hour but it brought students together from all years, everyone got to bond with their fellow classmates while also seeing if they had what it takes to collaborate and compete. Reuben Cheeks a senior in the School of Architecture, also the President of the “AIAS chapter at PVAMU-SoA” was at the forefront of creating and getting it everything arranged with his electoral board team. (Abraham Rodriguez, Alec Mulgrave, Greg Hill, Javier Candela, Juan Castro, Kennia Lopez, Ledell Thomas & Nakia Alomaja)
