School of Architecture mourns loss of Zane Mendoza

It is with great sadness that the School of Architecture announces the passing of our student, Zane Mendoza.  Zane was an outstanding scholar pursuing a double major in architecture and construction science at Prairie View A&M University.    Beginning with his enrollment in the Architecture Concepts Institute (ACI) during the summer of 2014 immediately completing high school, Zane was on pace to graduate in record time with both degrees later this year.  During the summer of 2017, he completed an internship with Balfour Beatty Construction. During his four years on our campus, Zane was a very dedicated student who maintained an outstanding GPA, and was well known among the faculty for his record of regular classroom attendance and participation.  His instructors observed Zane being very serious about his education and his future.   He possessed a solid character in that he was hard-working, creative, and dedicated to his studies and also to help his fellow students

The School of Architecture extends its sympathies to Zane’s family, fellow students, and friends. Memorial and funeral arrangements are to be announced.
