NSF REU SITE ON SMART GRID SYSTEMS FOR STUDENTS
OVERVIEW
This Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) students at Prairie View A&M University will train students in a variety of cutting edge technologies related to research in Smart and Connected cities in general, and smart grid systems in particular. Participants will work side-by-side with leading researchers at Prairie View A&M University with projects relating to Smart Grid Systems. Some possible projects include:
- Wireless Network System for Microgrid
- Battery Technologies for Photovoltaic Systems
- Solar Power Efficiencies
- Wind Power Data Analysis
- Bio-gas Production and Data Analysis
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE REU
- 8 Weeks summer research experience for student (June 4 to July 30, 2019)
- On-campus housing for students
- $6,000 stipends upon completion of the program with travel allowance
- Research opportunities in smart microgrid with experience mentors at Prairie View A&M University
