Provost Excellence Fellowship – Fall 2026 Doctoral Students

The Prairie View A&M University Graduate School is pleased to announce a new competitive Provost Excellence Fellowship for incoming doctoral students beginning Fall 2026. This prestigious fellowship is designed to attract and support high-achieving doctoral scholars committed to research excellence and academic leadership.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
Be an incoming Fall 2026 doctoral student
Enroll full-time
Have a minimum 3.5 GPA
Submit three letters of recommendation
Provide a personal statement
Be nominated by program faculty upon admission
Fellowship Support
$42,000 annually (12-month support)
Awarded for two years
Tuition scholarship
Funding for research supplies
Support for conference travel
Fellows are required to complete a 20-hour per week research assistantship within their academic program.
Application Deadline
Interested students must initiate their doctoral application by March 1, 2026.
**Interested Persons should apply to the Juvenile Justice Ph.D. program by the March 1 deadline for Fall 2026 admission.
