The HNEF Scholarship Program provides academic, financial assistance to individuals who demonstrate the desire and ability to pursue a professional nursing career in the Greater Houston community. Scholarships are awarded to (1) college students who have applied for admissions into a nursing program, and (2) students already accepted into/enrolled in a BSN or advanced nursing degree program.
Award: Up to $3,000 per semester for tuition, fees, and books during their nursing education
Deadline: Applications will be accepted from January 4, 2022, through February 28, 2022, at 11:59 pm CST
Criteria:
The selection process includes consideration of financial need, academic history, leadership ability, community involvement, and commitment to nursing. Recipients who attend school full-time and maintain their grades may qualify to receive up to $3,000 per semester for tuition, fees, and books during their nursing education at the following Houston area colleges and universities:
- Houston Baptist University
- Prairie View A&M – College of Nursing
- University of St. Thomas
- Texas Woman’s University
- University of Houston
- University of Houston-Clear Lake
- University of Texas Health Science Center Houston
- University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston
