As Prairie View A&M University celebrates its 150th Anniversary, the John B. Coleman Library proudly presents My Story, A Childhood Preserved in Prairie View: Marie Herndon’s Untold Stories.

This special program combines the timeless power of personal storytelling with advanced artificial intelligence technologies to preserve, interpret, and share a significant chapter of Prairie View’s history. Through oral history, documentary presentation, and community dialogue, attendees will explore the lived experiences of African American youth who grew up within a unique educational community that nurtured resilience, achievement, and hope.
