Prairie View A&M University P-16 Partnerships and Outreach – Campus Visits and Prospective Events recently hosted its Senior Academic Preview Day, welcoming prospective students, alumni, and their families for a first-hand glimpse into campus life, academic excellence, and the PV experience.
Senior Academic Preview Day provided high school seniors with the opportunity to explore a range of the University’s academic programs, engage with faculty and staff, and gain insight into the resources that support student success. From informative sessions led by academic colleges to guided campus tours led by Campus Tour Ambassadors, attendees could envision themselves as part of the PVAMU community.
Throughout the day, future Panthers connected with current students and campus representatives, asking questions and learning more about student organizations, leadership opportunities, and campus traditions. The energy across campus reflected a shared excitement about the next generation of Panthers preparing to make their mark on the Hill.
“Senior Academic Preview Day is an exciting opportunity for prospective seniors to experience life on ‘the Hill,’” said Yolanda Lockhart-Gross, Program Coordinator for Campus Visits & Prospective Student Events. “Students engage with academic programs, connect with faculty and current students, and gain valuable insight into our campus culture. This event is designed to help future Panthers envision their journey, discover their passions, and take the next step toward becoming a part of the PVAMU legacy.”
Families also had the opportunity to engage directly with offices within the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success, gaining valuable information about admissions, student financial services, PV Cares Teams, housing, and student support services. These conversations reinforced PVAMU’s commitment to excellence by cultivating a culture of care, pride, innovation, collaboration, and high-quality education to drive student success.
As the day concluded, many attendees left campus inspired and eager to begin their journey at Prairie View A&M University.
