Stay-At-Home Order (City of Prairie View)
In an effort to contain the spread of the novel Coronavirus in Waller County, the city of Prairie View has issued a 9:00 pm curfew order for residents. This order will be strictly enforced. We urge all students living both on and off campus to comply with the curfew and remain indoors after 9:00 pm.
Positive COVID-19 Case Confirmed
We recently alerted our campus community that a staff member had tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This is the first confirmed case of COVID-19 at PVAMU. As the number of confirmed cases continues to increase across the nation, we anticipated that this day might come.
Enrollment Management Offices Closed to Walk-In Traffic
The Offices of Student Financial Aid and the Registrar, located on the third floor of the Willie A. Tempton Sr. Memorial Student Center (MSC), and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, located in Anderson Hall, closed to walk-in traffic on Wednesday, March 25, in response to COVID-19.

Please make note that the Spring 2020 Academic Calendar has been updated. The last day to drop a course or withdraw from the university has been extended to April 28, 2020.
