The COJJ hosts its last Brown Bag Lecture of the 2018-2019 academic year. This lecture, titled “An application of Personal Growth Initiative after a Potentially Traumatic Event” will share the past and current research work of Assistant Professor Yuki Shigemoto’s studies on Personal Growth Initiative (PGI) after a potentially traumatic event. In other words, 1) can PGI alleviate symptoms of posttraumatic stress? and 2) can PGI facilitate psychological growth? He will share how his research questions have continued to evolve in this topic.
