The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a concentration in Plant and Soil Sciences prepares students to understand the interrelationships between sustainable crop production, environmental factors, soil management and conservation, and environmental protection. This concentration provides students with the knowledge base to function in a variety of public and private sector careers and industries including the USDA NCRCS, Extension and State Regulatory Agencies, Farm Management, Nursery and Landscaping, Consulting, Natural Resource Inventory, and Land Use Planning and Management. It also prepares students for further education in Graduate or Professional School.

Raegan is a Senior Agriculture major with minors in Pre-Vet/ Chemistry from Houston, TX. She serves as the Purple Jackets Historian, a CAFNR Champion, and a Panthers Producing Productive People Mentee. As Miss CAFNR, Raegans aim is to increase our college’s visibility, connect agriculture to every field, and inspire students to Think Big, Grow Big, and Do It Big!
Stephen is a Senior Agriculture major with a minor in Business from Houston, TX. He serves as the Rodeo Club President, MANRRS Historian, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and the PVAMU CAFNR Livestock Club. As Mister CAFNR, Stevens aim is to empower students through leadership, education, and community engagement while creating meaningful opportunities and a lasting impact within CAFNR.
