TJCPC LogoPRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (March 16, 2023) – The Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center at Prairie View A&M University announced that as part of its Annual Royce West Forum and Lecture Series, it would host “The State of Violence in Our Communities and What is Necessary to Reduce It,” a virtual panel discussion with law enforcement leaders. The session will take place on March 23 at 9:30 a.m.

The forum will feature Detective Chris Mondragon of the Lubbock Police Department; Superintendent David Brown of the Chicago Police Department; Chief William McManus of the San Antonio Police Department; and Deputy Chief Sharise Hadnot of the Dallas Police Department. 

“We are grateful for the opportunity to host this important conversation with such a qualified and experienced group of panelists,” said Camille Gibson, interim dean of PVAMU’s College of Juvenile Justice and Executive Director of the Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center. “We look forward to discussing community violence – an issue that affects each and every one of us – and, more importantly, what we can do to reduce it.”
