The Office for the Dean of Students was notified by the family, and regrets to inform you of the death of Mr. Christopher D. Sims, a Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) student.

Mr. Sims passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, due to an automobile accident. A native of Dallas, Texas, Christopher was a junior kinesiology major. He was a 2014 graduate of Justin F. Kimball High School, where he was a member of the football team. After high school, Christopher continued his educational journey at Prairie View A&M University. While attending PVAMU, he was a member of the equipment (EQ) staff for the Marching Storm Band. In addition, Christopher was an entrepreneur who was involved in real estate and a DJ.

Christopher was a community activist who believed in making a stand in what he believed in and what he felt was right. He was also very dedicated to feeding the homeless throughout the year. Christopher mentored many and did what he could to help everybody.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Christopher D. Sims was held on Saturday, May 22, 2021, in Dallas.
