On June 22, Prairie View A&M University officially opened its new $70 million Engineering Classroom and Research Building. In its 75th year, ENCARB is the sixth building to be added to the Roy G. Perry College of Engineering complex.

Those featured in Thursday’s program included:

  • Pamela H. Obiomon ’93, dean of the College;
  • Charles H. Lewter IV, dean of the Johnson-Philip All Faiths Chapel;
  • Jeffrey Streator, professor and department head of mechanical engineering;
  • Bill Mahomes, chairman of the Board of Regents for The Texas A&M University System;
  • John Sharp, chancellor of The Texas A&M University System;
  • Natara McNary, a doctoral candidate in electrical engineering;
  • Cassandra Corley, business capabilities manager for ConocoPhillips;
  • Tomikia P. LeGrande, president of PVAMU; and
  • Sheena Reeves, associate professor and interim department head of chemical engineering.
