DO THE RIGHT THING!

What is a reportable violation?

The Texas A&M University System is dedicated to adhering to the highest ethical standards and principles.  If you have factual information suggestive of fraudulent, wasteful or abusive activities, we want you to report it.  Examples of reportable issues include illegal or fraudulent activity, financial misstatements or irregularities, conflicts of interest, unethical conduct, misuse of resources or information, violations of safety rules; inappropriate conduct, harassment or discrimination.

If you have questions as to whether an action is reportable or not, please contact us.

How can I report a violation?

We encourage you to report such issues through the Risk, Fraud & Misconduct Hotline, a telephone and web-based reporting system. 1-888-501-3850 or select “file a report” at the top of the page at www.ethicspoint.com. The hotline is independently operated and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Reports can be submitted anonymously, and will be forwarded to the appropriate institution, agency OR university official for action. If contact information is provided by the reporting party, they may be contacted for further information or may request updates on the investigation.

If you would like to provide a report of a violation directly to the PVAMU Office of University Compliance, please email universitycompliance@pvamu.edu, or call 936-261-2144.

Anonymity

You may choose to make reports anonymously, but please keep in mind that we may not have a way to contact you should we have additional questions. The University will maintain confidentiality within the confines of the law, but all information submitted to the Risk, Fraud, and Misconduct hotline is publicly available through the Texas Public Information Act.

It is the policy of Prairie View A&M University not to retaliate against those who report suspected wrongdoing.
