Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)

What is the ASE?

ASE is a program that offers certification exams that test and certify repair and service professionals, like auto technicians. All exams fees are paid to the test company. No administration fee is charged by Testing Services to the tester.

Before Your Exam

  • Register & Pay for your exam at www.ase.com/myase.
  • Testers MUST then make an appointment with PVAMU Testing Services by calling (936) 261-3627 and speaking with the Program Coordinator of Testing Service, Mr. Jeremy Sample. NO WALKS IN ARE ALLOWED.
  • After your appointment is confirmed with the Program Coordinator, you will receive the ASE Appointment Approval form via email with more information regarding your testing date. If you do not receive the approval email within 48 hours, please contact PVAMU Testing Services via email at aetesting@pvamu.edu.

After The Exam

  • When you have completed all your scheduled ASE exams and surveys, please gather your belongings and exit the test room.
  • The test administrator will provide you with score report(s) for all tests taken that day.

Accommodations

If you need accommodations, please submit ASE’s ADA request form to ASE before you register and schedule an appointment for your ASE test. http://www.ase.com/Tests/ASE-Certification-Tests/ADA-Accommodations.aspx

Retest Policy

If you receive a pass or fail result, you must wait 30 full days before purchasing and scheduling a retest.
