Welcome to the Student Employment Office
2016 Student Employment Appreciation Week
In conjunction with National Student Employee Week, the PVAMU Student Employee Appreciation Week (SEAW) was a great success! This annual event is held during the week of April 11th-15th.
Student employment held an event each day of the week. “Deck the Halls” Monday was an event for departments to showcase their students. “Hit the Quan” Friday was for students to relax, have fun and possibly gain 15 seconds of fame. We had a great time giving out gift cards to random raffle winners: Jemarcus Jones, Keoshia Johnson, Anthony Owens, and Jasmine Hayes.
The highlight of the week was the Bowling Battle of the Year where student employees went head to head for the prestigious Championship Bowling Belt. Employers and fellow employees came out to support the student workers and cheered them on to the final round. This year the battle was great but there can only be one victor and that’s the School of Engineering!
Overall, Students at PVAMU had a great time and we look forward to celebrating Student Employment Appreciation week next year! We encourage all student employees and employers to show support and not miss this experience. See highlight video below.
All students volunteering in any department must complete the Volunteer Information Form and Volunteer Waiver Form. Both forms should be on file with the department as well as the Student Employment Office. These forms may be found in the Forms library, SEO, or HR websites.
