Volunteer Services Office
“Producing Productive People” for the World”
As a unit of the Office of Student Affairs and Institutional Relations, Volunteer Services strives to provide volunteer and service opportunities and programming as well as a medium for Prairie View A&M University students to connect to the Waller County and greater Houston community. The Student Volunteer Services Office assists students, faculty and staff by providing access to service projects in the local community. Projects may be short- or long-term, formal or informal. Community service projects, service-learning placements, and internships are encouraged. Prairie View A&M University is committed to providing an education that will produce an enthusiasm in students to serve others. The projects vary from tutoring and mentoring children to hosting food drives and serving meals to the homeless. Our goal is to challenge students to consistently serve the community and help them to cultivate lasting behaviors of serving others.
“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth”
