New Faculty Research Development Grant Program is Launched!
The Office of Research, Innovation and Sponsored Programs is proud to announce the launch of the FY2018 Faculty Research Development Grant Program (FRDGP). This program replaces the previous “Mini-grant” mechanism that has been used in the past. The FRDGP will provide up to $20,000 to tenured/tenure-track faculty so that they may collect preliminary data as they prepare to submit competitive proposals to external funding agencies. Investigators in all areas of research are encouraged to apply.
This new program has several new elements, and one is that the cover page will require the signature of your department head. So please start early so that your chair/head is able to review the grant and sign prior to the deadline. The other new change is the use of templates. The templates are provided below.
Proposals will be due November 28, 2017. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Note: The Budget Template has 2 tabs. One describes the review matrix that will be used this year and the other provides the information that is needed for the proposed budget.
