“The difference between other programs and the Honors Program at Prairie View A&M University is that the Honors Program advocates for each and every one of its students day in and day out. During my time at PVAMU I’ve secured numerous internships, fellowships, shadowing experiences, and research opportunities because I have a strong foundation system. The honors program teaches us to never settle for less in anything that we aspire to do or become because there is no limit to greatness.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Moreover, our students have an everlasting desire to learn and evolve.\u00a0The Honors Program\u00a0staff is second to none. They act as a beacon of inspiration for students by helping them realize their true potential. “The Honors Program changed the way I perceive myself, others, and the world at large. The most important aspect of the Honors Program that has helped me throughout my academic journey is the community. The relationships I have gained with the Honors staff and students have introduced me to academic opportunities, which have been quite valuable. In particular, the Honors Program trip to China sparked my interest in becoming a global scholar. The trip encouraged me to continue to hone my interest in global health, which aided in molding my future academic aspirations. Furthermore, the process of cultivating research for the senior honors thesis has stretched my intellect. I am grateful to Prairie View A&M University’s Honors Program for promoting an environment that has allowed me to grow as a young woman to ensure I exceed my maximum potential.”<\/em><\/p>\n
