FORT WORTH, Texas (December 11, 2019) – Two graduate students in Prairie View A&M University’s Roy G. Perry College of Engineering recently did well in a MetroCon competition.

Omobayode Fagbohungbe and Joshua Bassey placed second and third in the student research poster competition during the 32nd annual event on Nov. 6. Their winning research posters were titled “Autoencoder + Classifier Based Deep Learning For IoT Devices” and “Intrusion Detection for IoT Devices Based on RF Fingerprinting using Deep Learning,” respectively.

Metrocon is an annual engineering conference hosted by IEEE-Fort Worth. The conference aims to educate engineers in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex on the latest developments in science, engineering, and technology.
