Conceptual Framework

The Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership is guided by the Whitlowe R. Green College of Education’s Conceptual Framework, Educators as Facilitators of Learning for Diverse Populations (E-FOLD-P).  E-FOLD-P guides the work with candidates both at initial and advanced levels.  The conceptual framework diagram was changed to a circular design in 2008 with permission from Western Oregon University.  During the 2012/2013 academic year, the conceptual framework was modified to include the unit’s commitment to continuous improvement, technology and assessment.  In the modification of the conceptual framework, the unit sought to ensure that assessment was incorporated within E-FOLD-P in order to establish preeminence in meeting the challenges of diverse populations, as stipulated in our mission.

The conceptual framework consist of the following four basic tenets anchored by technology and assessment: Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Decision Making; Reflective and Continual Learning; Growth and Development; and Human Diversity and Global Awareness; and Shared Vision.  These tenets are graphically illustrated in the units Conceptual Framework diagram
