Campus-Carry Complaints

Complaints from Citizens/License Holders as Allowed by Senate Bill 273

Senate Bill 273 passed by the 84th Legislature prohibits a state agency, including institutions of higher education, from providing notice under Texas Penal Code 30.06 to prohibit licensed carry unless specifically authorized by Texas Penal Code 46.03 or 46.035.  If a state agency violates the requirements, citizens/license holders may file a complaint with the Attorney General; however, they must file the complaint to the agency of the violation before complaining to the Attorney General.  The designated point of contact at PVAMU to receive these complaints is Craig Ellsworth, Clery Compliance Coordinator, at 936-261-2158 or crellsworth@pvamu.edu.
