The $1,500 scholarship is designed for individuals seeking to start their own business after graduation. The scholarship honors State Representative Helen Giddings, who is presently serving her 13th term in the Texas House of Representatives with a proven track record as a community leader and entrepreneur. Uber and the Texas Legislative Black Caucus are ambitious, engaged and excited about transforming the way the world moves and looks forward to investing in young adults.
