The CAHS Difference
What is the CAHS Difference at Prairie View A&M University?
Our staff and faculty welcome you like family. This family oriented environment enables faculty to provide one-on-one mentoring and enhance your learning experience. Our faculty to student ratio is 14:1.
Scholarships are available based on eligibility requirements and can range up to the full tuition of the program. Eligibility is determined on a continuous basis for incoming freshmen and continuing students. An established partnership with the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) allows excellent opportunities to obtain internships and scholarships giving you a competitive edge in the workplace.
Land Grant Institution
You will benefit from the mission of the college as the land grant arm of the university. Not only will you have classroom experience, but learn the importance of research and outreach through the Cooperative Agricultural Research Center and Cooperative Extension Program.
Beginning in the fall of 2013, we will break ground on a new academic building and our College will be co-located with the College of Business at the epicenter of the campus. This will give you a first rate educational experience. We have more than 778 acres that is the home of our International Goat Research Center. This area will also be the home of our new rodeo arena, greenhouses, creamery and meats laboratory.
