Fall 2018 Vegetable Production Workshop

The Fall Vegetable Production Workshop will showcase the programs, research, and services provided by the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences and educate small-scale limited resource producers about research-based practices for growing fall vegetables.

The Farm Field Event will consist of presentations by CARC Research Scientist, Dr. Ming Gao, and Mr. Rafash Brew, Program Specialist in the area of CEP-AgNR. Topics will include;

  • Sweet potato research findings
  • Grafted cucumber production
  • Grafted tomato production
  • Watermelon variety verification

Attendees will also participate in a refractometer demonstration and enjoy a watermelon taste test before going to the demonstration farm to view vegetable plots.
