November 26 – Hurricane Harvey devastated many communities in Southeast Texas more than a year ago. With the work of its County Extension Agents, the university’s Cooperative Extension Program has been a key player in helping many of these communities and their residents return to a life of normalcy after experiencing a total loss. Talia Washington is a Program Specialist in the Community and Economic Development branch of CEP who worked closely with those who were affected by the storm. She shares how CEP stepped up to help communities overcome in the business aspect of the storm’s impact.
