October 29 – We’ve powered through a homecoming week filled with fun, friends, cheering on our beloved Panther football team, and celebrating Prairie View A&M University’s storied history. The week we’ve anticipated all semester has finally come and gone and you’ve enjoyed yourselves to the fullest, as you should. However; now, you may feel a little weak after so many activities, it’s time to re-focus as we finish out the semester and I have the perfect drink to bring you back to 100-percent! Drink my Replenishing Smoothie to replace all of the nutrients, water, and electrolytes you may have lost throughout the week. Many of the ingredients are natural energy boosters, and a few contain electrolytes. Enjoy and finish strong!

Replenishing Smoothie

  • ¼ cup spinach
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ¼ blueberries
  • ¼ strawberries
  • ¼ kale
  • ½ banana
  • 1 tsp honey

Directions:

  1. Wash all produce and place in blender
  2. Blend until smoothie is the desired consistency
  3. Enjoy!

*Depending on personal preference: add more orange juice or water for a thinner consistency.
