Training on Water Quality Analysis Simulation ProgramDr. Ram Ray attended a training on Water Quality Analysis Simulation Program (WASP 8.0) in Atlanta, Georgia from August 1-5, 2016. The training was organized by the US EPA Region 4 to assist participants understand modeling principles and theory and to provide hands-on experience on the use of WASP interface and other hydrologic models.

Ray had an opportunity to learn WASP water quality modeling using real world problems as well as several case studies. The WASP has capacity to predict conventional water quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO) and eutrophication. In addition, he learned about other hydrologic models such as BASIN 4.1 and Water Resources Database (WRDB 6.0).
