Proctored Exams


A proctored exam is an exam that is administered by an individual who supervises the student while they are taking the exam. The proctor’s function is to ensure the integrity and security of the exam in a secure testing environment.

  • Proctored Exams are by appointment only and are subject to change at any time.
  • The PVAMU Test Proctoring Form must be provided to your instructor and returned to the testing office via email BEFORE your exam.
  • Proctored Exams appointments can be made anytime, Monday-Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
  • Proctored Exams are only administered, Monday-Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM.

How to schedule a Proctored Exam

  • Click on the Register link below
  • Pay Administration Fee
  • Have your instructor download the PVAMU Test Proctoring Form and return it via email to the testing office BEFORE your schedule appointment time.
  • If a student is taking a PVAMU Proctored Exam, they will not need to register or pay. They must contact their instructor for the exam time and date.

ID Requirements

Unless otherwise stated on your PVAMU Test Proctoring Form, Identification Requirements will be as follows:

PVAMU Students: Must present there PVAMU Student ID’s. If a PVAMU student does not have their student ID, they must present one of the following identifications under Non-PVAMU Students.

Non-PVAMU Students: Must present the following acceptable Identifications: Driver’s License, Passport book or card, State-issued ID card, US military ID Card (Common Access Card or CAC), US Permanent Resident Card (Green Card).


Administration Fee

  • No charge for PVAMU students taking a proctored exam for a PVAMU course.
  • $25 for PVAMU students taking a proctored exam for a non-PVAMU course.
  • $40 for Non-PVAMU students.

All administration fees MUST be paid prior to your arrival for testing through the PV Marketplace or in cash at the cashier’s window in the WR Banks Building. Students will need to bring the receipt as proof of payment for all cash payments. All administrative fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

After The Exam

We will follow all rules listed on the PVAMU Test Proctoring Exam Form provided by your instructor. If nothing is specified, the Department of Testing will keep all paper-based exams on file for 90 days and then it will be destroyed. If the computer does not show you a score for your exam, you will need to obtain your score from your instructor.
