New Student Information
Prairie View A&M University will use the state approved TSI Assessment as the campus assessment tool for TSI. Before students are allowed to enroll at PVAMU they must have valid documentation on file for an exemption or they must have taken an appropriate placement test prior to enrolling in any college level classes.
All students who were not exempt before the first day of classes Fall 2013, will be required to take the TSI Assessment exam. Students who were exempt prior to this day will NOT be required to take the TSI Assessment exam. If you wish to have your scores sent from another Texas institution, please have them sent to us. Prairie View A&M University does not accept scores from students. ALL scores must be sent from the institution where the exam was taken. Please have your school fax your results to:

Re: Test Scores
It is the student’s responsibility to verify that an institution administering the TSI Assessment test will be able to validate those scores on an official transcript or via fax; otherwise the student will need to take the TSI Assessment on campus. Be advised that some institutions will only validate scores if the student enrolls in classes at that particular institution.
Please call our office at 936-261-3630 if you have any inquiries regarding remote testing.
If you have AP scores that need to be added to your transcripts, please note that we DO NOT accept copies from students. We only accept the score reports from the College Board. If you did not request to have your AP scores sent to Prairie View, we do not have them. You will need to log into your College Board account and request that a copy is sent directly to us. Our school code is 6580.
