Innovative Approaches to Curriculum Development in the College of Education
The development of distance learning degree programs is important for the University as it strives to increase enrollment in graduate programs to meet state mandates for university growth. In an increasingly competitive market, the College of Education must provide graduate students who want the convenience and flexibility of an online, web enhanced or instructional television (ITVN) setting for course delivery, the same rigorous curricula currently available in its face-to-face degree programs. Distance learning courses will be developed in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling.
- CIIT 5743 Theories of Instructional Design and CIIT 5813 Introduction to Distance Learning were approved as online courses.
- CNSL 5053 Play Therapy was converted into a web-enhanced course.
- CNSL 5053 Professional Orientation to Counseling and Development was converted to an online course.
