Undergraduate Researchers Win Top Honors

Becky Lewis (POSC), Megan Tillman (CRJS), Alex Goodwin (POSC), and Jessica Cotton (HIST) presented at the iRiseUP Symposium.

This year, Division students took top honors at several undergraduate symposium on campus and in other areas.  Alex Goodwin, a Junior POSC major won best poster at the iRise Up symposium and at the Annual Symposium of the College of Juvenile Justice and Psychology.   Kiara Ballard (POSC) and Alex Goodwin (POSC) attended summer research programs at the University of North Texas in Conflict Management and Peace Science.  Both will be presenting their research at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Political Science Association.  J’Nia Stewart (Hist) attended a summer research program at Princeton and will be publishing her work later this year.  Jovvonta Mason participated in PVAMU’s REU program and won best poster for the summer program.
